This week, after we eat and clean up Landings Park, we will host some Poetry in the Park. Just us, whoever shows up! Everyone is welcome. Bring your favorite poem or many. Write a new poem to share with us with if you like! We might return to the shelter house or spread some blankets under some of the shady trees.
Arrive at 5:00 for the potluck in the Pavilion. Bring something to share if you can. After dinner we will walk around picking up trash which doesn’t take long and then we can start the poetry. You don’t have to say why your poem inspires you or why you picked it. Just read it or ask someone to read it for you.
Landings Park, off Boardwalk north of Harmony. Covenant of the River has been keeping it clean for well over 10 years. There are two signs there to tell others about our contribution. The walk is less than a mile and only takes less than an hour. We only pick up trash, no animal waste. Many hands make light work and it’s fun to talk as we go. Hands on environmentalism.
