The study of Paganism is not just the study of Religion, but also of history and cultures. Cultures are the context that religions exist within, and so are essential to the understanding of various faiths. There is also a movement in Neo-Paganism to look locally to the spirits and Gods of the places in which we live, instead of looking to our blood ancestors in Europe and their Gods.
This week we are using Cinco de Mayo as a reason to look at one of the often overlooked cultures that contributed to making Colorado what it is today, and molding the energy in the land beneath us.
