Yeah, it was a great song long ago, but it’s not that Rhiannon. Rhiannon is the Welsh Goddess of Horses. And she jumped out of the divination deck for this month. If you are a little more Brit/Celtic, a similar goddess is named Epona and she is the white chalk horse carved into the side of a hill in England.
As with so many dieties and their myths, there are many things to know about Rhiannon and some of them are dark indeed. I personally think she’s the first victim of Gaslighting….

If you’ve been before you know the drill. Come at 7pm to the Hall to talk and laugh and light the cauldron of candles. Then, around 7:30, I will tell you more about our guest and create a ritual with you. If you haven’t been, we are a small happy group sitting under blue light bulbs to learn something together when the moon is hiding her face and we are free of any lunar influence. We often find ourselves face to face with some pretty scary people and we face our fears together (should be much less scary this month).
