Council Open Hours*

From 7pm to 9pm Council will be in the Hall, hanging out, waiting to see whoever stops by. Have some questions? Need some face time? Never been here and you want to check out the space on an informal, less busy night? Open Hours is the place to be. Council wanted to find a time where we could be available for this casual time with whoever needs it so usually, on the first Friday of the month, the three of us are in the Hall waiting for YOU to stop by. There is nothing planned, no program or speaker, no ritual. You can stay for five minutes or stay the full two hours, whatever you need.
Please park on Swallow at 901 E Swallow and make your way around to the far side of the garage. Enter through the yellow door. We look forward to seeing you and to meeting new people!

Mexican History in Colorado

It’s Cinco de Mayo! Come and learn about the influence of the Mexican people on the State of Colorado from Jordan.
The study of Paganism is not just the study of Religion, but also of history and cultures. Cultures are the context that religions exist within, and so are essential to the understanding of various faiths. There is also a movement in Neo-Paganism to look locally to the spirits and Gods of the places in which we live, instead of looking to our blood ancestors in Europe and their Gods.
This week we are using Cinco de Mayo as a reason to look at one of the often overlooked cultures that contributed to making Colorado what it is today, and molding the energy in the land beneath us.

Goddess Clay Craft

For Mother’s Day, let’s honor Mother Earth with some sculptures like ancient people. The evening begins at 5:30 with our usual potluck. Please bring something to share if you are able and plan to eat with us even if you can’t bring something. Around 6:00 the evening will begin with Announcements, Yahoos and Prayer Requests before we begin crafting. Zoom will NOT be available this evening. This event is open to all and takes place at River Hall 901 E Swallow. Please park on Swallow and follow the sidewalk around to the far side of the garage
Come play with clay and make yourself a new spiritual tool or image. Supplies provided, but people are welcome to bring their own trinkets they wish to incorporate.

Fireside with Jean

This event is open to anyone and will take place in the Sanctuary (hopefully) which is the outdoor space at River Hall. If the weather is unfriendly for humans we will still meet in the hall with candles and such but we will not be able to burn things
Jean will be holding space for folks to discuss life and faith, to work on rituals or to be supported in releasing things/people/behaviors that no longer serve you.
Fireside is a mostly casual gathering in the Sanctuary where we hold space for each other, enjoy respite around the sacred fire and reconnect with other Pagans and Pagan-friendly folx.
If you choose to burn something in the fire make sure it fits in a standard backyard fire pit, and is legal, safe, yours to burn.
This a great no pressure gathering for new folx. Come as you are, when you are able and leave when you need to.
Please park on Swallow and follow the sidewalk around to the far side of the garage. We might be in the Hall, beyond the yellow door but most likely we will be in the Sanctuary. Enter through the gate then follow the dirt and mulch path around the house and through the archway entry of the Sanctuary.

Sanctuary Care Day

Sanctuary Care Day!
Come on by this Sunday the 19th, anytime between 1:00pm to 5:00pm. The Sanctuary is the area behind the Hall at 901 E Swallow where we hold rituals, outdoor gathering, and Firesides with Jean. Not only will we be having the typical Sanctuary Care activities, Kellen, member and artist, will be creating a mural on the shed that sits just outside the Hall by the gate! This is going to be beautiful and exciting and he NEEDS YOUR HELP! Yes, come and help the artist bring his plan into reality. The image and plan are created but a brush in your hand will make the work go more quickly!
The potluck will be after 5pm. This is such a great time to give back and make the Sanctuary cleaner, less weedy, and generally ready for all the great things we do here. Tools are provided. Gloves and sunscreen are available or bring your own. Indoor activities in the Hall will not be part of this month’s work. There will be food afterward, including burgers provided by Council. Please bring a side dish, salad, or something else to share for the potluck. Plan to come for only the amount of time that works for you. You are not required to stay and work for the full time.

Park Cleanup and Craft

Join us for a summer Park Cleanup event in Landings Park. Summer park cleanups happen completely in the park without returning to the Hall like we do in the winter.
Please arrive at the park at 5:00 with food to eat or food to share as this will be a potluck. Please come anyway, even you can’t bring something as there will be plenty. Meet at the shelter house off Boardwalk . After eating we will do our walk/talk/pick up litter patrol and return to the shelter house for
After doing our part to enhance the environment in “our” park, we will return to the shelter house to do a tissue paper stained glass craft! All supplies will be provided free of charge.
We have been caring for Landings park for over 15 years and hope that you can join us. It is off Boardwalk, just north of Harmony road, past the apartments. There is a parking lot by the Playground/Pavilion and a larger one just beyond the curve in the road with a quick walk back.
