It’s back! After our December postponement lets get together for fun. You know it’s fun. The joy of keeping what you want, the agony of having it stolen! The white elephant gift exchange is always the fun part. Plan to come! You know you want that keychain from Hawaii. Maybe you will win the wine glasses you really like.
This is an in person event only. Due to the (hopefully good) turn out for this event, please eat before you come to the Hall. Drinks will be allowed. KN95 masks will be available for anyone who wants one. Hand sanitizer will be available.
White elephant gifts can be just about anything.. something funny or atrocious or a magical tool that needs rehoming. Think sock sets, candles, hokey coasters or cheesy fleece throws. It can be from your house, the thrift store or the clearance bin at Joann’s. Try to keep the value of the gift between 10 and 15 dollars. Please wrap the gift. We’ll draw numbers and then whomever has ‘1’ will have the first opportunity to choose a gift. The person with ‘2’ will then get to choose either from the pile of gifts OR they can ‘steal’ the gift that the first person opened. And so forth around the circle until everyone has had a chance to open OR steal a fantastic item. If the item you have gets stolen, you get to open OR steal another gift. Then the person with the ‘1’ gets the last choice to thieve anybody’s gift.
Some things to remember… please park on Swallow, not in the cul-de-sac… masks are required for all indoor and crowded outdoor spaces… please read the Code Of Conduct before your first visit to Covenant of the River… gifts to support this community are always welcome and can come in many forms like firewood, mead, monies, time and lighters… monetary donations can be made in the donation basket in the Hall or through PayPal on our website.
Peppermint Pig for good luck. Don’t know what it is? Come and find out!
