Tonight’s discussion will be on Inclusivity in Pagan Space after Park Cleanup!
PARK CLEAN UP!
Once a month or so, we like to get together and walk through our adopted park, Landings Park, to pick up litter and keep it clean. Boots on the ground environmentalism. It takes less than an hour usually and it’s a fun way to spend some time together. It can get tricky in the winter and we do need to get there early enough to have daylight. So we arrive at 3:30. We will be done well before the evening activities begin at the hall. And if it gets cold or windy or snowy or rainy or any other weather that is not nice for being outside, we will cancel the cleanup, posting the cancellation here and on Facebook. *you don’t have to clean the park to participate in the discussion. Either or both! Where is the park? Check here: Landings Park
Schedule:
3:30 pm- Meet at Landings Park for environmental improvement activities (trash pick up!) This cleaning will end before meeting at the Hall so you can plan to return home or run errands in between.
5:30pm – meet at the Hall with BYOM if you want to eat.
6:00pm – Zoom opens for announcements and business. Zoom will stay open for the discussion. Link to Zoom
Tonight’s discussion will be on Inclusivity in Pagan Space
It’s Black History Month. With this in mind we are going to be talking about inclusivity within the Pagan community at large, within our own church, and within the structures and beliefs of Pagan faiths as well. Not just about race but certainly including it, how to we handle being inclusive? How can we improve? What does it mean to be inclusive? How can we celebrate differences and encourage more diversity in our community?
That’s what Jordan wants to hear us talk about tonight. There’s a lot to think about. What do you think? Come tonight with your ideas and give us your thoughts and perspective.
