Join us at Landings Park for a presentation/discussion by Jean on calling the quarters. We do this frequently on Sabbats or other rituals but at Covenant, there’s no set way to do it. Do you call in one diety, many dieties, or the spirits of the season or the place? Do you call only the elements and the powers and correspondences that we associate with them? Do you simply honor the different directions? What feels right to you? Come and talk about this idea with us.
Please arrive at the park at 5:00pm and head to the pavillion for our potluck. Please bring something to share if you can. If you can’t, please come and share dinner with us, all the same. After we eat, we will honor “our” special park by walking around together picking up litter and enjoying each other’s company. Gloves and insect repellent are provided.
Once that quick task is finished, we will return to the shelter house to learn from each other about “Calling the Quarters” as we watch the sun begin to color the sky for evening.
