SUMMARY:Wolf Moon
DESCRIPTION:In honor of the full moon this month Covenant of the River is headed out on the town! We’ll start in the late afternoon at the Museum of Art Fort Collins exhibit Indigenous Voices and then head to a local restaurant for dinner and discussion. Join us when you can\, leave when you need to: this field trip will be a fun celebration of community and the first full moon of 2026. \nKeep an eye on the weather. Plans will change if it is not safe to be on the roads. \nWe will meet at the Museum of Art Fort Collins at 4 to view the Indigenous Voices exhibit. General Admission is $10 but check their website to see if you qualify for a discount. If the cost of the evening is prohibitive for you\, please email Council. Financial support is available. \nThe decision of where to eat has not been settled just yet. If you have a suggestion of where a small crowd of us could enjoy good\, reasonably priced food and lively discussion\, please email Council. \nAs always\, if you have questions or concerns\, please do not hesitate to reach out to Council. \n

SUMMARY:Drum Circle
DESCRIPTION:Let’s start the year off with a bang\, a bang on a drum that is. Pat will be leading us in a drum circle. \nPlease bring a dish and/or beverage to share in our potluck feast. All dishes\, utensils and drinking water are provided. Monetary donations are always appreciated to offset general costs\, but never required. \nIf you have your own drum or handheld music maker\, feel free to bring it. There will be many percussion instruments for folx to play and experiment with\, including drums\, so if you do not have your own please join us anyhow. \nWe will be at 2800 Crystal Court. Please pay attention to the driveways if you park in the culdesac. Most folx will need to plan on parking on adjacent streets. If you need more accessible parking\, have any questions or concerns\, please feel free to contact Council. \nBlessings!

SUMMARY:Park Cleanup and Norse Terms and Rituals
DESCRIPTION:Park Clean-up! We meet at Landings Park early at 3:30pm to try to catch the most sunshine. Please bring work gloves\, a water bottle and dress for the unpredictable Colorado weather. We will care for our adopted space and then will head back to Pat’s house (2800 Crystal Court) for the evening’s activity which begins with a potluck at 5:30pm. \nThis week we will have a short presentation on Norse terms\, we hear them used a lot in our community and in Neo Paganism in general\, but do we actually know what they mean? Let’s go over some of them and then discuss. \nPlease bring a dish and/or beverage to share if you are able. And if you aren’t able\, please join us anyway: there is almost always enough food to share! Covenant provides plates\, cups\, and silverware. \nPlease be mindful of where you park. Most folx will need to plan to park on the adjacent streets.

SUMMARY:Group Write Imbolc
DESCRIPTION:One of the many beautiful  things about Covenant is the diversity we hold around honoring the high holydays. When we write a ritual as a community we get to see where the practices overlap and where folx have wildly different traditions. Through conversation and compromise we will collectively build the Imbolc ritual for the Sunday February 1st celebration. \nPlease bring ideas about how you would like to see Imbolc presented to the community. Who is the deity you connect to this Sabbat? What colors are on the altar? Remember: joining in the group write does not mean you will have to perform or speak during the actual ritual. Your input and perspective is welcome even if you cannot be at the Imbolc Ritual. \nNeed more info about Imbolc before you join the group write? Check out these pages… \n\nHistory.com\nThere’s a day for that!\nFriends of the Forest\nNorse Perspective\nSetsubun\nCatholic Candlemas\nDruid’s Garden\n\nWe will gather at 2800 Crystal Court for our potluck feast at 530pm. Please bring a dish and/or beverage to share if you are able. And if you aren’t able\, please join us anyway: there is almost always enough food to share! \nPlease be mindful of where you park. Most folx will need to plan to park on the adjacent streets. \nIf you have any questions or concerns\, please reach out Council! \n

SUMMARY:*Cancelled for Weather* - Seasonal Crafting
DESCRIPTION:*Update!* – We are finally getting that snow we wanted but that is making the roads quite slick and we feel it is unwise to ask people to go out in this weather. So tonight’s event is cancelled. There is no event tonight 1/25/26. Please stay home\, stay safe\, stay warm. Blessings! \n* * * * * \nBring the blessings of Imbolc into your home with a wreath or altar offering. There will be fresh evergreen and corn husk and ribbon available. Herbs\, colors and trinkets to honor the Season’s many treasures will be available and explained. Imbolc and many other traditions at this time of year center around cleaning and clearing. The energy is cleared to make space for the new. White and red are traditional colors for the holiday\, as are blue\, green\, brown and white. The corn husk can become dollies or crosses. This is primarily a wreath craft but you can easily turn it into an altar offering or protection charm. Come create a piece of magical art with us! \nMany supplies will be provided and we encourage folx to bring personal items for their Imbolc wreath and/or on theme crafty bits to share. \nWe gather at 530 for the potluck and circle for announcements at 615. The craft will follow. 2800 Crystal Court \nAs you are able please bring a dish or beverage to share\, glue guns and trinkets to encourage the snow. \nPlease be mindful of where you park. \nDonations to offset the cost of crafts like this\, and the many other Covenant of the River events\, are greatly appreciated and never required.
