DESCRIPTION:Let’s start the year off with a bang\, a bang on a drum that is. Pat will be leading us in a drum circle. \nPlease bring a dish and/or beverage to share in our potluck feast. All dishes\, utensils and drinking water are provided. Monetary donations are always appreciated to offset general costs\, but never required. \nWe will be at 2800 Crystal Court. Please pay attention to the driveways if you park in the culdesac. Most folx will need to plan on parking on adjacent streets. SUMMARY:Reiki Presentation
DESCRIPTION:Kat will be leading a presentation on Reiki and it’s impact on the mind-body connection. \nThis research presentation focuses on how Reiki as an energy modality impacts the body. This Japanese healing art has a long history of providing relaxation and balance to the body\, done through the manipulation of life energy within the body’s system. There is not a lot of information available at this time that focuses on the benefits of Reiki on individuals who experience issues with the mind-body connection\, but inferences can be made to its effectiveness when we look at the available data concerning the effects and impact of Reiki on the body and mind. The results/findings associated with Reiki are conflicting\, with some pointing towards the evidence that it is more than a placebo effect and others showing that it is no more than a placebo effect. I am a certified Reiki Master in Usui-Tibetan Reiki. I consistently seek ways to bring myself into balance and view Reiki as a strong tool to aid in that journey. ~Kat Kurfman \nWe will be at 2800 Crystal Court in Fort Collins.
