DESCRIPTION:Our church is a mighty fine church. \nA mighty fine church going through a helluva year just like every institution\, dare I say every living being\, has been experiencing and growing with; 2020 was a year of opportunity like no other.\nCovenant of the River has offered virtual gatherings\, live streamed fire pits and gathered on front lawns to hold space for each other. There have definitely been hiccups and more than a couple moments of ‘good grief\, now what?’ moments. From the postponing of our festival to the rebuilding of the website\, our community has risen to the challenge of safety in service and suffered the side effects of a pandemic. Bless you for continuing to be a part of this. Thank you for continuing to hold space and celebrate the turning of the Great Wheel with this community. We are made stronger by the multitude of voices at our metaphorical table. \nThis March marks 5 years since Covenant of the River incorporated as a church. We invite you to join us for our annual open house Board of Directors meeting. Any and all are encouraged to attend! \nThe first Thursday of March\, Zoom opens at 7:00pm with the meeting starting at 7:30. Everyone’s read Poe.  But have you heard of Mr. Grimes\, Teeny Tiny\, or the Habyas? \nIf you have another idea\, let me know.  Otherwise join me for a few stories that are like – Mom! You expect me to sleep now? \nIt’s not really an activity tied to the time of the Dark Moon\, but if you are curious\, March 13 at 3:21am is the time.  I will post the video late on the 12th.  Scary stories as we speed toward the one year anniversary of lockdown.  And that’s pretty scary\, too.

In the event that none of those dates work for you\, please contact Council and we will work to schedule a time to meet with you. \nEach month the Council\, Jean Jordan and Chel\, get together to schedule Covenant of the River events\, write rituals\, outline presentations and discuss general community business. \nWe would appreciate your ideas on activities\, topics or crafts that could enrich our community. You can present these ideas to Council (via email) whether you want to lead or collaborate or have the Council lead. \nCouncil would like to emphasize our desire to have more people making presentations and presenting rituals. This is a diverse community and one of the best things about that is we get to learn from each other. Your beliefs\, your practices\, your ideas are things the community would love to learn about and share if you are willing to share. It’s not hard at all. You are just sharing your stuff with your friends\, like show and tell! Council and others are more than happy to give you guidance and encouragement\, help with your ritual or presentation\, and help you get your supplies together (and pay for them). \nPlease send your ideas to council@covenantoftheriver.org before this meeting begins.
