Ostara Ritual

03/17/2019 2:00 pm
America/Denver
Location:
River Hall - 901 E. Swallow Rd. Fort Collins, CO

How to find us: Pass through the gate on western (garage) side of house then enter through the yellow door into River Hall.

The death sleep of winter has slowly faded,
the rigor of the ground loosens,
and the earth is once more reborn.
Like Mithras and Osiris,
reborn from death,
life returns again to the land,
springing up as the snow melts away.
As the soil warms and the days grow longer,
dew forms along new sprouts of grass,
bringing life back.
Awaken! Awaken! Awaken!
And rise!
Let the earth come to life again,
and welcome the light of spring!

Come celebrate the Equinox with us! We will start the afternoon with an egg hunt for the kiddos, move into Ritual and our traditional potluck feast, then wrap up the evening with Sumbl.

Rough timeline:
200 Hall doors open
230 Egg Hunt
400 Ritual
500 Potluck
630 Sumbl

This celebration will be family friendly and open to all. Ritual garb is encouraged but not required. Come for any portion of the day, and leave when you need to.

If you have kids wanting to participate in the egg hunt, please RSVP so that we can have enough eggs for everyone. Eggs will be filled with a mix of miniature toys, candy and coins.

As the Wheel turns, the momentum of Spring builds around us and we have an opportunity to tap into that energy to bolster our personal endeavors. We will gather to raise energy, honor the equinox and jump start our work in a ritual that incorporates kid energy.

Please bring a dish and/or beverage to share in our potluck feast. All dishes, utensils and drinking water are provided at the River Hall.

Keep in mind that donations, whether monetary or in the form of toilet paper, first aid supplies or mead, are always welcome. Donations of time toward the upkeep and care of our Hall and Sanctuary are also appreciated.

Remember to park on Swallow Road, not in the cul-de-sac. Thank you.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the Council. Blessings!
