Camping! Lost Lake (Red Feather)

Is summer over already?  That’s not so bad, because  it’s time for the annual Labor Day camping trip to our favorite Lost Lake Camping site, just beyond Red Feather Lakes!!  Come up August 29th and find a place to pitch a tent or park the vehicle you plan to sleep in.   We break camp and head out Monday morning, September 2nd.  There is SOME ability to fit certain kinds of campers or RVs in and near this area.  If you think that you would like to camp with something bigger than a passenger truck or car, please contact Jean or Jordan to talk to them about your camper so they can advise you.

This is rough camping.  There are no bathrooms, vault toilets, or running water.  Please bring water and food for yourself.  See the Camping Page for other requirements.   And – it gets a little chilly at night at this time of the year.

You can find directions to the campsite here:  LOST LAKE CAMPING SITE

Camping is an adventure.  We require that you submit some forms and we have information, packing lists, photos and other good stuff on this page:  CAMPING PAGE

Fort Collins Pagan Pride Day

Pagan Pride is it’s own organization and they put on this great fair every fall in City Park.  Covenant of the River is one of the primary sponsors of this event so we promote it here on our calendar.   Please see the official website for the Event at https://focopaganpride.org/ for all the information on being a vendor and later what vendors and speakers and entertainment will be available.  And hopefully food trucks, too!

Michigan River Camping

We will be heading back to the “new” campsite on the other side of Cameron Pass.  It was new last year and if you didn’t go, it will be new this year!  Last year we called it “Silver Creek” but  while it’s on Silver Creek Road (aka Forest Service Road 780) near where it ends at Forest Service Road 740 it is really the MICHIGAN RIVER CAMPSITE.   It is west of Cameron Pass off of Highway 14.  You need to drive all the way to Gould and turn south on Larimer County Road 21 to FSR 790/Silver Creek Road.  It is still an open “dispersed” camping site (like our Red Feather site).  It looks like there will be more room for campers and RVs than at Red Feather.

July 26-28th

Camping is a lot of fun and big part of summer at Covenant of the River.  We have a whole page dedicated to infomation about the experience, advise on what to bring and the REQUIRED FORMS you will need to participate.  Please see the CAMPING PAGE for all the information.

Formal Full Moon Dinner

This is both a fund raiser for Covenant of the River and a great party! Join us in the sanctuary and dress up, as fancy or fanciful as you like!  Council will provide the food and some fun activities with your purchased ticket.  We haven’t done this for a few years and are really looking forward to it!
