Covenant of the River

The Northern Colorado Covenant of the River, of Fort Collins, CO, has been an active part of the greater Pagan community for over 10 years. We are a family friendly, eclectic group who gathers to explore, exchange knowledge, learn about and further understand our own Spiritual Paths, while finding acceptance within the comfort of an open circle atmosphere. The Northern Colorado Covenant of the River is a place where all with an open heart and mind are welcome. Come out and meet local Pagans, Asatru, Buddhists, Druids, Wiccans, Witches and other practitioners on a Pagan Path. Our activities and topics vary from week to week to support our diversity and also to celebrate the Wheel of the Year. Join us to share ideas and lore, make friends, craft tools and other items, write and perform ritual, participate in lively discussions and to explore the rich and varied practices of the Pagan traditions. This website is a living work of love and will be updated as often as possible, so please check in often to see what we have planned.

Adding Banishing Magic to Spring Cleaning

03/31/2019 5:30 pm
America/Denver
Location:
River Hall - 901 E. Swallow Rd. Fort Collins, CO

How to find us: Pass through the gate on western (garage) side of house then enter through the yellow door into River Hall.

Spring is a great, and traditional, time to do a deep clean on your home… open the windows, vaccuum behind the couch, pull out the stove and wipe down all the walls. It helps to shake the old year, the old cycle and gives us another way to honor the growth of Spring. In the mundane actions of sweeping and washing, we have an opportunity to cleanse and consecrate our home. We also have a chance to banish or block negative energies.

Show and Tell- The Favorite Magical Tool

What magical tool do you use consistently, constantly? For many of us, in the beginning we were told or taught that we needed an array of specific things to really practice our craft. Maybe you still use that list of mechanisms or perhaps you only use a wooden spoon carved with sigils these days. Either way, or somewhere in between, you probably have a tool that you think makes all the difference in your practice. We’d like to learn about how and why you utilize it so much.

The death sleep of winter has slowly faded,
the rigor of the ground loosens,
and the earth is once more reborn.
Like Mithras and Osiris,
reborn from death,
life returns again to the land,
springing up as the snow melts away.
As the soil warms and the days grow longer,
dew forms along new sprouts of grass,
bringing life back.
Awaken! Awaken! Awaken!
And rise!
Let the earth come to life again,
and welcome the light of spring! -https://www.thoughtco.com/ostara-rites-and-rituals-2562469

“But in the end, shouldn’t the cost of finding God be priceless? As in, free? Of course. But I’m not paying to find God. I’m paying to remove the obstacles to finding God, or universal energy, or however you define the thing we’re all seeking. I know I don’t need my Mastercard to find it, but it sure can open the doors to places and things that help me explore myself and the meaning of my existence.” -https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2013/09/how-much-should-it-cost-to-find-god/279345/
